Don't forget that the slide is 'set into' a smaller hole! With the round slides the hole was the glass size for 7/8 of the depth through the wood and then slightly less to stop it falling through.

The 3.25" slides you can do the same way although the usual 'machine aged way' was to groove the insides of the 4 sections of wood making the frame and slot the slide into it before fixing.

Yes, it is mainly the wood mount [and hole position] dimensions I was looking for, this is what I will be cutting for an installation project.
