GOLDEN OLDIES LYRICS QUIZ #346 (GOLQ346)

*************************************************************************
* The previous version of GOLQ346 posted was an incorrect, prerelease *
* version of the quiz. There have been many changes to this version. *
*************************************************************************

Welcome to GOLQ346! All songs in the quiz, including the two tie breakers,
share a common characteristic, although that characteristic may be harder
to identify than the songs themselves.

Note: the stumper lyric "bobba" in #17 could possibly be spelled "baba" or
"boppa." However, regardless of the actual spelling, if you know the song
you will recognize the lyric. Enjoy!

Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #346
Recordings #01-25 were from 1956 through 1969
Due 5:00 p.m. EST (GMT-5), Monday, November 30, 2015
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only you can take my heart
Only you can tear it apart
#01)

Now our song is a sad song
Longing, we are, for someone to adore
Well, some sunny day
There may come our way
One who will love us
#02)

Then she's old enough to give her heart away
Yes, she's old enough to give her heart away
#03)

What a grateful thankful girl I'd be
#04)

And do your stuff
'Cause you're gonna be mine
'Til the end of time
#05)

You ain't nothin' but a little lamb, little lamb
#06)

If I were a queen
And he asked me to leave my throne
I'd do anything that he asked
Anything to make him my own
#07)

I knew I'd know you, know you
By your kiss
#08)

It's not for lack of bread
Like The Grateful Dead
#09)

Happy birthday
Happy birthday, baby
Oh, I love you so
#10)

Rock, rock, rock, oh baby
Rock, rock, rock, oh baby
#11)

When you're with me
I'm sure you're always true
When I'm away
I wonder what you do
#12)

Are sharp as a pistol
#13)

Then prove it by
Goin' out on the sly
#14)

Whether skies are gray or blue
Any place on Earth will do
Just as long as I'm with you
#15)

I love her too much
We'd be but just a kiss away
And never ever touch
#16)

Ooh
Bobba do
Bobba do
Bobba do
Bobba
#17)

He's got the little bitty baby
#18)

I stood a-watchin' all night long
I stood a-watchin' all night long
#19)

Delivah de lettah
De soonah de bettah
#20)

There's a place where lovers go
To cry their troubles away
#21)

I know
You be - lo - o - ng
To so - o - me
Body n - e - w
#22)

So press your tasty lips to mine
Sweeter than wine and it feels so fine
#23)

You never seem to want my romancing
The only time you hold me is when we're dancing
#24)

Just a little bit of soul
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Clap your hands just a little bit louder
Clap your hands just a little bit louder
#25)

------------
Tie-Breakers
------------

I didn't realize I would miss you the way I do
And now, somehow, I know I will pay
For the times I have made you blue
#T1)

Meet me in a hurry behind the barn
Don'tcha be afraid 'cause I'll do you no harm
#T2)

Since you do understand it, I don't understand your hostility to the
spelling. Surely a palindrome is much, much more important than
etymological correctness.
