tool@panix.com (Dan Blum): Aug 11 03:20AM This is Rotating Quiz 192. Entries must be posted by Monday, August 17th, 2015 at 11 PM (Eastern Daylight Time). Usual rules: no looking anything up, no discussion, etc. The winner gets to create the next RQ. Please post your answers to all questions in a single followup in the newsgroup, quoting the questions and placing your answer below each one. Only one answer is allowed per question. This quiz is all about subway systems. In keeping with common usage "subway" in this context does not necessarily mean that a system runs entirely underground - some may have above-ground and/or elevated sections. Each question gives the names of three currently existing stations in a given system. (At least, they existed when the online maps I used were last updated, which was quite recently.) For each just name the city where the system is. The exact name of the system itself is not required. In case of a tie, the first tiebreaker will be whoever scored on the hardest questions (defined post-facto as the ones which the fewest people got right). Second tiebreaker will be posting order. 1. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Oberkampf, Danube 2. Harlem, Harlem, Harlem 3. Barking, Angel, Burnt Oak 4. Wedding, Pankow, Olympia-Stadion 5. Florida, Palermo, Lavalle 6. Happy Valley Scenic Area, Agricultural Exhibition Center, Military Museum 7. Pennsylvania Avenue, Kings Highway, Knickerbocker Avenue 8. Juan, Sosa, Central Park 9. Garibaldi, Jamaica, Normal 10. Moosach, Moosfeld, Westpark -- _______________________________________________________________________ Dan Blum tool@panix.com "I wouldn't have believed it myself if I hadn't just made it up." |
