I actually like the movie, it gets better every time I see it. the quote from "The Dark Knight" wasn't either. but I can understand why in this case. so if my calculations are correct and there are no scoring errors, drum roll please ... Mark Brader is the winner! but Mark is disqualified from hosting the next RQ, because he is on vacation. serves him right for having a life. I hope he at least takes some nice pictures for us. ;-) so the honor of hosting the next round goes to Dan Blum! Congratulations Dan! my condolences to Gareth, who would have done considerably better if he had read the instructions. I had prepared to accept some answers in Swedish, German, French, Italian, and Spanish. but no one who speaks those languages natively entered. maybe next time. Thank You all for playing. swp |

The GOLQ Institute <list@golq.org>: Aug 09 06:59PM -0500 GOLDEN OLDIES LYRICS QUIZ #343 (GOLQ343) Hello everyone, and welcome to the August edition of the quiz. For this edition of the quiz I have departed from my usual audio snippet format and opted to use the traditional text lyrics format instead. There are two closely related themes in the quiz, one being a "SUBset" of the other. It is difficult to say how many of each there are since many lyric sets contain both elements. By my reckoning this quiz may be a bit of a "toughy," although the themes may help a bit. One last note; results and scoring probably will not be published until the latter part of September. I hope that will not be an inconvenience for anyone. Have fun everyone.
