This is most interesting to show to all visitors of Early Visual Media..

 

The interest in diableries is growing in a vast manner, especially because of the coming book by Denis Pellerin, Brian May & Paula Fleming.

 

This sounds as the right moment to ask all members of the Visual Media GOOGLE group and visitors of Visual Media.

Who has stereo diableries in his collection (stereo cards or other versions such as magic lantern slides)

 

An upload of your images to the group would be wonderful.

Or those who prefer not to show their images to the whole group please contact me on this address thomas@visual-media.eu.

 

A few known diablerie titles where never discovered, if would be great if this should happen with help of the group members.

I’m sure the authors of ‘Diableries, Stereoscopic Adventures in Hell’, Denis Pellerin, Brian May & Paula Fleming will be most thankful for your find.

Indeed, the Cinémathèque Française, Paris, has a wonderful set of colored magic lantern slide diableries.

If I’m not mistaken, they have the complete Block series (A-series) in this version for projection. Really wonderful.

 

I’m curious to see (and I guess other list members too) your magic lantern slide diableries, are they colored or black & white?

I would love to see some samples from your collection, perhaps you have digital images of them?

Slide diableries very rare to find!

Some of the diablerie images were made as magic lantern slides too, though it is hard to know quite how to use them in a show. We included them in a Hallowe'en show on one occasion. Maybe they could be used with the Danse Macabre music.
