I recently sent some updated information of Minwa-za's forthcoming
Eastern European tour to the directors of Festival Animator in Poznan
(http://www.animator-festival.com/index.php?lang=EN#), where I
presented some clips from Minwa-za's spectacular shows at the
University of Chicago last summer. (Minwa-za's week-long residency in
April, 2011 was part of Professor Tom Gunning's Seminar on the Moving
and Projected Image.) Many Polish animation students attended and
were quite inspired by Minwa-za's techniques. It's wonderful that
some of them may have a chance to see Utsushi-e as it is meant to be
experienced, with a full company of 11. Latest details below, in case
anyone from the list is planning to attend. Wish I could be there!
Yours,
Artemis
