And of course, it's no way easier if you've only read the Bible in Swedish,
and only know the Swedish names of the books. I started with some wild
guesses, but I ran out of steam after some time.

Then again, I will have to admit that Revelation is singular in Swedish too
"Johannes' uppbarelse", so I cannot use this excuse for that error. On the
other hand Acts is "Apostlagärningarna" in Swedish (which translates exactly
to "Acts of the Apostles"), but I had no clue about the English name.

I would say Lentils is too specific and inaccurate; there are many
dahls that do not use lentils but are made with other pulses such as
chickpeas etc.

the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary gives Dal or Dhal as:-

Split pulses (esp. the seed of the pigeon pea, Cajanus cajan ), a
common foodstuff in the Indian subcontinent.
