I find a number of web sites indicating that "swallows" is correct, but others indicate, as Bruce says, that the birds are swiftlets. Swiftlets are a type of swift, not a type of swallow. I don't know if they were once considered a type of swallow, which is possible since there is some resemblance; in any case I think I'd better accept both answers. So, 4 for *Bruce* and Erland.
